RM8564CO2 Gas Inorganic Gas
RM 8564* carbon dioxide was prepared by R. M. Verkouteren, Surface and Microanalysis Science Division, Chemical Science and Technology Laboratory, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) [1,2]. It was first prepared in 1996 from research grade carbon dioxide (99.995%) obtained from Scott Speciality Gases. This gas originated from the fermentation of C4 biomass (corn) in a grain distillery in the Central United States. Its recommended δ13C and δ18O values were determined in international calibrations [3,4].
